No.
It was in the Civil Lawsuit, and according to Hunter, therefore it must be true.
Try to keep up youngster.

eta - having said that. It was a dumb decision to beat the guy down. Shoulda realized he was being baited. Goes back to earlier arguments in being not mature enough to handle a situation.
Ah, I see.
Make excuses for your teams players.
McClain left the guy after he hit him TWICE with his car. He CAME BACK with more football players when the guy was on his way to work. And then picked him up and dropped him on his face. Know how many games he sat out for his stand up actions? ZERO. Not one single second.
He filled the suit in November 2010. Before the statue of limitations kicked in. He probably wanted to wait till Rolo and his gang of football players left the state so something worse didn't happen to him. And since McClain's attorney was actively seeking a settlement, it means he was guilty.
Thug.
I'm sure all those dental and oral surgery bills that he had after that occurred are just made up.
ETA: I'm sure it's justified doing this when someone calls you a name..... but when someone takes a swing at you...... it's completely uncalled for.

I agree with this.

Yeah, that whole "substantial justification" portion of § 12-19-272 can bite a fella in the arse.

I did no such thing. I said he made a mistake and didn't act mature in the situation. Should have handled it better.

You know I think you're an alright dude, but this post is full of excuses for RM. Yet you show no mercy towards the ones you bash from AU. In my mind you cannot have it both ways and condemn one person and then call immaturity and being baited for another. The fact someone wasn't arrested doesn't mean it didn't happen and it doesn't mean the person wasn't wrong in his actions.
As far as the plaintiff goes, waiting to file suit was the only smart thing he did in all this. Calling someone like RM names not so much...

Didn't make any excuses and didn't condone what he did at all. In fact, I said he lacked maturity in the situation. He could have and should have handled it alot better than he did. When you're one of the biggest names on a team, you've got to expect that you will be a target for some people and they will try to do things to get you to go off, whether on the field or off of it.

I started to embellish at the end of the quote, but figured nah.

If I took something of yours and you confronted me about it. Then I say yes Hunter you are right it's because I am immature I am sorry. That is an excuse for my behavior. It may be true, but it is still an excuse. To me I took what you said as give RM a break he was immature and angry over a racial slur. He was wrong, but give the guy some slack for what he did he got baited. My point is you are probably right in all you say, but they are still excuses plain and simple.

LOL... your cunning legal mind singlehandedly put an end to all frivolous lawsuits! And all while still in law school! Congrats.

I wasn't making an excuse, just verifying that was the incident and there wasn't another that he was talking about. There was an allegation in the lawsuit he posted that said he had other troubles with the law and I wasn't aware of any others.

OK I was just making sure...
I will be honest I didn't read the whole thing I just wanted to give you a hard time this Sunday afternoon...

There isn't any and he wasn't charged in this instance either. They are after $ and thats why they are trying to drag the owner of the car into it. They want the insurance policy.

It's cool. It was just Joey's way of deflecting. The bottom line, in the Auburn, "show me proof" way of things, Ro is innocent, because he was never arrested or convicted, whereas, E Smith was convicted of the crime he was accused of.
I was just killin time last night and today too, it's been slow and I'm tired of working outside today. Got the first plowing done for the season getting the garden ready.
fresh veggies..

So...
You are immature when you hit a guy twice with a car, go get your football buddies, come back, and knock some of his teeth out.
But, when you get sucker punched in the face, wait, and then punch the guy back a bit later, you are a POS, worst part of humanity.
Perfect sense.

Two things come to mind after reading your post.
1) If you think the Alabama Litigation Accountabilty Act is without teeth..okay. I never said it would end lawsuits without merit being filed, just that there exist recourse in those instances.
2) I did my time. Even have a neat little card with Keith Norman's signature on it to keep in my wallet.

Where's the police report on what you're asserting?
And sucker punched, in the face? What'd he do, tell him to close his eyes and he's got a big surprise?
