He saw the text. Kept going anyway. Might have known the gun was in there, and lied about it. Better hope Miles doesn't snitch right back at him
It’s highly likely that he knew about the gun and text message.
It is also important to understand:
Did Miller/Bradley block the victim’s car?
What happened after the shooting?

apparently, Miller didn't know the gun was in his back seat, Miles left it in there after riding in the car under some clothes

I can give Miller the benefit of the doubt on the gun, but he saw the text. Miles said bring him his thing so he can further an altercation with someone, so I tend to think he knew then he had something bad in there. How about checking. Miller showed up next to the altercation anyway. No rules thrown at the dude at all.

That can’t be right, he was there in his car and his car was hit in cross fire?

He probably knew about the gun. Miles texted him without providing specific context but still mentioned the gun. Otherwise, Miles would have texted sth like “my gun is in your car”, or simply “where are you?”.
It is more likely that Miller was already nearby, ignored the previous texts but then saw text #3 and immediately reacted to it. Miller and Bradley then blocked the victim’s car. Miller delivered the gun but what happened after the shooting? How did the gun end up in Quinerly’s dorm room?
