UK basketball has dominated the SEC far more than Alabama football has.
If we crowned the basketball champion the same way football had with the AP Poll Kentucky would have over 30 national titles in basketball dipshit.

I guess this is just me being the typical FOG, but I have never understood why everyone brags about Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and Final Four appearances. To me the only thing that matters is that national championship banner you hang when you win the whole thing. Bragging about the other things just seems like one big consolation prize.

That's relatively easy to do when for much of the conference's history there was only one school in the SEC that seemed to give any kind of shite about basketball. That has changed in the last 20 years or so and you have noticed Kentucky's dominance of the conference less and less as a result.
