Since winning the sec championship is no longer the only sure way to play for a natty the importance of winning the conference championship is diminished, like at basketball and baseball.

Now it’s do well enough to get a playoff spot, secure a seed and screw the championship game unless it’s needed for a higher seed.


Will top players sit out the championship game if their top seed is secured in order to not risk injury?

This season should be very interesting and maybe more eyes will be on college football since it won’t be just about the usual suspects.
