I figure if they both don't look good, which is a decent possibility...wouldn't the competition look pretty open for 2010?

I just don't see how McElroy and Jackson could be worse than Smelley.

It's pretty simple, they'd suck worse. It's not like Smelley hasn't shown upside. He's had some great games, just been inconsistent. I wouldn't exactly throw out him possibly being better than Jackson, who's never played, or McElroy, who's thrown 20 career passes in garbage time.

Seriously? I don't know if you saw him play this year in the all-star game or during the season but I'd be very unexcited about this guy. Completely overrated from what I saw.

Also, don't be surprised if Thomas Darrah gets play time. I have friends on the team who say he fricking lights up practice, and he looked damn good at A-Day.

I remember him. Dude looks like a taller McCarron, very frail.
His team got beat 50-0 in their first round playoff game his junior year. I think his team was 4-6 but still got into the playoffs.

Why does mccarron's garbage arse have a scholarship offer from lsu and a shitload of programs better than lsu? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't mccarron have 19 td's and 2 picks this ? Either way, he is 10 times better than jarret lee. Actually now that I think about it, I'm better than lee and I don't play football.

obviously his brother told him he was good enough to compete with the qbacks at Bama! he threw for 327 against ole miss. how many qbacks have done that at Bama?
