Best KC BBQ to me and about anyone who has tried it is Oklahoma Joe's. Gates is totally hit and miss, have had incredible meals there have had ones that suck. I have a soft spot for Bryant's though only the OG down on 14th & Brooklyn. Jack Stack is top notch too and agree their beans are the best I have ever had.

This entire thread proves it was a mistake to admit Mizzou and ATM to the SEC. Everyone in the southeast knows barbecue is a noun referring to pit cooked pig; not cows no matter how you cook them.
Beef, chicken and sausage may taste really good -- but that doesn't make it barbecue.

I don't think any mizzou fans in here were trying to claim beef is BBQ, I saw people talking about pulled pork and ribs with a dry rub. In kc you do see beef being smoked, brisket and some beef ribs but it's pork centric for sure.
