A trap game is not a game that a team could lose. No, thats a football game.

A trap game is what Wisconsin just fell victim to.

Generally, teams that do not experience a ton of success will look far ahead in the spotlight.

Wisconsin had a date with Ohio State just one week after the showdown with the Illini. A team very easy to write off. And im sure they did just that.

Is Illinois the better team? Hell no. They caught a squad that was using a game plan fit for Ohio State because they figured it would be enough for the cupcake. They were wrong.

LSU , coming off a physical top ten Florida game , had to go into Starkville against a team that has sucked badly. All while having yet another top ten game looming ahead. That is the definition of trap game.

Putting together a playbook for a team that sits ahead of your current opponent , and then using that same plan against them only works against FCS. Most power 5 schools will work you if you do not plan for them.

Unless your talent can just outmatch them. Wisconsin doesnt have a lot of talent, and therefore relies on solid fundamentals and gameplanning. Failure.

Thank you for attending class.
