Ah the BCS, a simpler yet equally controversial time.

The AP poll was not used in the BCS rankings in the final years of the BCS - and the Harris Poll no longer exist so is that really an accurate representation of the BCS?

I don't know what they used but these guys are pretty serious about running those old BCS numbers so I'd assume it was up to date re: the latest of the BCS formulas. But I don't know.

It wasn't used the last 10 years. The ap wasn't used almost twice as many years as it was used.

Yes I’m aware. The issue revolves around Auburn’s exclusion in 2004 so the AP writers voted to not be part of the poll. That decision caused the Harris, Coaches and the combined computers poll to Decide the BCS rankings.

AP and Harris typically tracked together, pretty much always looked exactly the same. Those 2 are easily interchanged to come up with these simulations
