No one should diminish what LSU accomplished in 2011, but LSU fans need to grow thick skin over this. Losing the BCSCG is a tough one to deal with all by itself. To lose it to a SEC rival makes it even a tougher loss.

If I was a LSU fan I would be proud of my team and not worry about defending the season. I would put the blame of the loss 40% on the coaches preparation, or lack thereof, 20% on certain players who gave up being a leader, and 40% to the fact Bama played a near flawless game. That is just my opinion from outside looking in, and I am sure most likely inaccurate.

Brilliant. I can't think of a worst thing for the SEC than what could have happened in 08' and 09' after the SECCG if we'd had a +1 back then. We were #1 and #2 going into SECCG both years. I don't remember the rankings right after that game but its entirely possible the loser dropped to #4 (the loser was #1 prior to that game both years). So, we would have played each other again the very next game. Your idea is BRILLIANT and would fix this potential nightmare of a scenario.

For what its worth, I would have hated it if we'd won Nov5 and had to play LSU again for BCSNC game but at least there were some games in between. The scenario above might pit 2 teams twice in a row. That would suck big time for the winner of the first game.

I'm just replying down the thread. Sorry, I'm not "TigerDroppings" savy.
