I very well might have missed it, but I can't believe I didn't see Jack Youngblood's name mentioned anywhere. Jack was a beast! Not sure where you would put him, but it is worth of a discussion.

Hey Gumps, I think I only saw Lee Roy Jordan mentioned once. Bryant called him the finest football player the world has ever seen.

Yeah, you're right. But I listed Derrick Thomas ahead of him. Maybe Biscuit, too. But he's certainly worthy of discussion (31 tackles in a game)

I put Bennett over Derrick everyday of the week. He was a three time All American.
The thing about Jordan though is he played both ways. To me, that makes his stats that much more impressive.

Yeah, that was some interesting football back then. ITs neat to note the differences in the game from when players had to be pure football players vs. specialist like now. (If you're going with three time all american, there was another Alabama linebacker that not alot of fans outside Bama know about. He was Bama's first three time All-american- woodrowe lowe)
