Again, I wrote "best from the SEC"- the pro angle was just an addition.
I know, Im just frickin around. You gave some good names, ones that usually aren't mentioned unless you carry some knowledge such as yourself.

You're right Jed. Tebow won't- I just went on all around accomplishments in college.

Gotta go with Don Hutson there Jed. Maybe Sargent D as well. Namath would have been interesting if he hadn't screwed his knee up his senior year.

You're right about that... I was actually drawing a blank on the WR position... Josh had the alltime single season record (at least at that time) so I went with him... Who do you have at WR?

Yes it was a joke. Walker and Bo are the top 2. Tough call but ill go with Bo.

Don Hutson- basically invented wide reciever as we know it today. Bear said Newsome was better than Hutson, so I put him down too. Although technically both were 'ends'- they played more like wideouts.

Just because we haven't heard about him in a while.

Wade Christopher at every position.
It's a tie between WC and Tre Smith at RB.

Ditto.
And I'm mid 20's and a pretty big CFB fan. Sure they were good though

Hutson is listed behind only Jerry Rice on most list of greatest wide recievers (and ahead of him on some). Newsome is a hall of famer (currently manager of the Baltimore Ravens). Played under Bear from 74-77. He set Alabama recieving records even though we ran the wishbone. Bear said he was better than Hutson (Bear was the 'other end' to Don Hutson on Alabama's 1934 Rose Bowl team). See link here for Don Hutson (#6)LINK

Newsome is an all-time great, but I've always seen him listed as a TE. For those that don't know he was a HOF stud for the Browns and is the current GM of the Baltimore Ravens.

you're not the only one. when alabama selected its all decade team from the 70's, there were only 10 players on offense. Newsome was listed as both a wideout and lineman. He was used more as a split end though.

Yep. He was a better pure QB in college than Timmy. Just doesn't have all of the accolades

You're wrong, Tebow had a better career passing percentage, efficiency rating, yards per attempt, 2 less tds than manning but had 18 less ints. Tebow was the better passer in college, weird delivery or not.

ETA: oh yeah, Tebow had 2947 career rushing yards and 57 tds

Tebow at the QB position and it's not even close
