ONE topic for all the weather related catastrophes this week in the SEC. Pics and reports of generator purchases, anxiety of Alabama power outages, trips to the coast to watch the game, etc.

And there'll be one for Louisiana in the OT, so lets keep this one here.

I'll start:

Fayetteville - Wed 9:15 am

We still have about 90% of the ground covered in snow from the storm we had Saturday night. It hasn't gotten above freezing in Fayetteville since 3 inches fell.

Local radar shows more precip heading into the region today, with expected additional snowfall totals of 3-4 inches.

Here's what the snow already on the ground looks like at my office this morning:

We've had no snow thus far this winter. There have been snow flurries, but no accumulation here in my area. Apparently we're going to get about 2 inches tomorrow, but that's not enough to worry about.

Weather in Colorado has been especially harsh this winter. Actually, before it was even winter, we'd already had 3 or 4 feet of snow.

SUCKS!

If there are two flakes in the forecast around here schools shutdown and people start freaking out.

I have seen real snow maybe 5 or 6 times, and only twice did it stick. It was neat to see stick on the ground though, of course it was only about an inch thick and lasted about a day, but still cool.

Wasn't there a news babe when recently talking about a snowstorm that said "I'd love to get about 8 inches".

Living in Knoxville, where we hardly get any snow ever (save for that big time blizzard in 1993), I can relate. But once I moved to Colorado, I developed an intense hatred for snow. It's pretty the first 1 or 2 times...then you realize it's evil.

Nashville has been under freezing for at least 5 days. We are forecasted to get 4 to 6 inches of snow all day tomorrow and some on Friday with 3 days of single digits. The lake down the hill from my place has been frozen over all week. And if any of you Bama Fans need generators there's still a lot in the stores here in Nashville.

I settled on the word DISASTER, but I thought about changing it to CATASTROPHE.

It's been that cold here as well for the last week. Right now, my Weatherbug says it's 17 outside. That's the warmest it's been this early for about 5 or 6 days. It's was 13 degrees overnight, but on Monday, it was 7 degrees that night.

It should be illegal to be this cold and not snow.

Finally we'll get to play the SEC Baseball Tournament somewhere else.

I vote Memphis or Little Rock.

Damn, that's cold.

It's 20 here in the Bluegrass right now. That's supposed to be the high tonight. Much warmer than the last few nights.
