If Auburn keeps Gus and our recruiting improves I'm expecting a tougher Auburn than the previous 10 years.
Then I may have to ammend my original post to 1 a, b, & c: LSU, BAMA, and AU.
For the record, I think the SEC only benefits when you have more competitive teams, so I hope GC gets AU back up and running sooner rather than later

After the Paul Rhoads and Franklin Fiasco last season I don't see how it could get worse. That defense had no clue of lanes last season several times and the offense was the worst I've seen at AU in a looooooooooooong time.

Lately it's always been a two man show in the East.
When was UGA's last SECCG? Tennessee?

The way Kiffin is pulling in players, I expect the East to switch back to the way it was in the 90's. In a couple of years I think that Florida and Tennessee will be battling it out with Georgia on the outside looking in.

12/5/98 Tennessee 24, Mississippi State 14
12/4/99 Alabama 34, Florida 7
12/2/00 Florida 28, Auburn 6
12/8/01 LSU 31, Tennessee 20
12/7/02 Georgia 30, Arkansas 3
12/6/03 LSU 34, Georgia 13
12/4/04 Auburn 38, Tennessee 28
12/3/05 Georgia 34, LSU 14
12/2/06 Florida 38, Arkansas 28
12/1/07 LSU 21, Tennessee 14
12/6/08 Florida 31, Alabama 20
In the last decade TN is 1-3 in the SECCG, UGA is 2-1. TN gets there more, UGA wins it more

Last year the East was..
Florida 11-1
Georgia 10-3
Vanderbilt 7-6
S. Carolina 7-6
Kentucky 7-6
Tennessee 5-7
And the West
Alabama 12-2
Ole Miss 9-4
LSU 8-5
Ark 5-7
Auburn 5-7
Miss St. 5-7
IMO the conferences have started to level out. LSU and Florida have been at the top of their conferences recently, Alabama and Georgia both look to contend every year in the future, and Ole Miss and S. Carolina having the potential to surprise people. Arkansas has more up side than Kentucky, but both have glass ceilings over their head. Auburn and Tennessee both had disastrous seasons but have the support to change things around until something works. Miss State and Vanderbilt are both clunkers that will squeeze out a winning season somehow.
