One point is plenty enough when you're throwing a shut-out in a battle of wits vs you.

Well wake me up when Mullen beats somebody of significance.

Would you like to compare SEC records the last 5 years?

Ole Miss: 13-35
MSU: 15-33

You're really bragging about 2 wins over a 5 year span?

Good enough for 10th in the league. Congrats.

this is my favorite OM take, essentially what you are saying is, ''hey look guys, beating our shite program is no big deal!!11''.

Well at least we're not deluding ourselves into thinking we're something that we're not.

Our team in 2009 was good. Not great, not incredible, but good. Our team in 2010 was a steaming pile of turds. What's so damning about us admitting as much?

To further demonstrate the silliness of this point, the one loss by Saban was to the SEC East Champions in their home stadium (a stadium which has one of the best home field advantages in the SEC).

If Alabama had the luxury of playing, oh, I dunno, KENTUCKY they'd have beaten the dogshit out of them. Instead, they played SC in Columbia.

We went 9-4 last year. Yeah we lost to the top four teams in the west, who along with us, helped make up possibly the toughest division ever in college football. Excuse us. Keep on hatin, we'll keep on improvin. That streak will end this year.

Mullen has only been a head for two years in what's probably the strongest conference in college football without much talent.

Just give the guy some time.

That seems to me to be the one salient point made by this quality, quality thread.

Were they suppose to win against any teams in the west in 09? I doubt it, including Ole Miss. So they lost games they probably should have lost with one upset over the Rebs. The same goes for 2010. Ole Miss was the only game they were favored to win and they did that. So they beat who they were suppose to in the west and lost a couple tough games against good teams. Even though they went 1-4 in the west last year I can't complain about losses to better teams. It's not like Mullen has a long standing history of losing to these teams. For the most part I think Mullen will win the ones he should win and thats something Croom couldn't do.

Exactly

How many games has Dan Mullen's team been the favorite against the SEC West? Once- and he's 1-0
