2001? I loved that. Everyone was talking the big UT/Canes showdown....a bit too early.

I see a&m not living up to the hype I say 3 SEC losses. Bama, LSU, and another loss
Ole Miss/MSU winner finishes with 8 wins and loser with 6-7
Auburn/Arky battle it out for last
Agree 100%

and btw....I'm looking forward to seeing how A&M can bounce back after losing both starting tackles and their badass tight end. Easy to run away from DT's but our DE's are really quick.

Hadn't autocorrected to hasn't. If the refs had made the correct call MSU doesn't win the game

Saban took those kids and went 9-3...amazing.
8-4 because of that loss to UAB. But yeah, enormously better with the coaching change. The only team that destroyed 2000 LSU from teh get go was Florida... 1999 was so so bad. Other than that fluke beatdown of Arkansas (which was just good because they got to share in our suffering for a day)

Yes. My junior year of high school. My friend made me wear LSU gear every day to class for the ticket. I figured that was the only way I would see the championship game live so I did. frick it it was free

There's a picture somewhere of the two of us the day before the game and I'm wearing purple sweatpants. Not my proudest moment. My grandfather is still rolling around in his grave

Could you still say "Go to hell LSU"?

Um, what? We only lost one tackle in Joeckel, and the only TE that graduated was more of an H-back and didn't play very much. We also lost our center, but our other All-American tackle is back and moving over to LT with our RG moving to his more natural RT spot (he will also likely move to LT in 2014 after Jake Matthews graduates). We also recruited the #1 JUCO TE, who enrolled early and should be a huge asset in the fall.
By all accounts this spring our OL is looking extremely good, and there will be little drop off this season, if any, from last year. Don't get me wrong, I expect a good game in Oxford (hopefully we don't turn the ball over 6 times again), but you'll likely be disappointed if you expect our OL to be a liability.

It was just for the week of the game but it still sucked. The atmosphere was absolutely worth it. Holy shite

it is really funny how some of those things work out. That HDN Arkansas team beat Texas, Tennessee (year after their BCS NC), a 10 win MSU team... but lost to a terrible LSU team, mediocre to bad Kentucky, a decent but not great Ole Miss team, and a very good Alabama team
