All anyone is saying is that it's ridiculous to defend him.
This

Long suspension coming down by the NCAA,you can just feel it. It wasn't a gouge,he dug and scratched on a defensless player(with his arms trapped). It was the worst thing that I've seen in a long time. Even Meyer looked sick, trying to support him. Spikes harmed the game of football on that, and the NCAA will come down on it.
Thanks mom. I almost shed a tear when I read this gut wrenching post.....almost.

It was a failed attempt, he didn't even touch the guy's eyes and now you want to say he dug down into them. Pretty far-fetched.
Nah it was a vicious ripping and tearing. It was all Ealey could do to keep his eyes inside their sockets long enough to play the next down and the rest of the game.....

Yea, thank god he didn't hit a ref too because that just would've meant the chair.

Seriously? What would you like us to do suspend him for a whole game, like a fan to player suspension?

Well you get off that computer young man,and go to your room. Please! Dude, really! You want to take up for that Thug piece of crap! Go ahead and make yourself look bad. I saw it,and it was much worse than anything I've seen in all of college sports. Watch what the NCAA hands down!

I'm not taking up for shite he deserves a full game suspension and I have said so numerous times in numerous threads.

Really? How about any of the numerous plays where a player actually got hurt on a dirty play, sometimes to the point of losing an entire career. But no, you are right an attempted eye gouge in a pile that was so vicious Ealey just had to stay in the rest of the game including the following down was the worst play ever in the history of sports. The hyperbolous bullshite you people state as fact boggles my mind.

What a freakin' joke in that Spikes is only getting a half game suspension and the RB from Oregon gets suspended for the whole season.
Posted on 11/2/09 at 1:24 pm to goodgrin
isn't the oregon rb coming back in the next game or so?

it looks like you can see Ealey or whatever trying to push Spike's hand out of his mask at the very end of that footage.

You should stick to the part where you support a one game suspension, and leave the rest of that failed rhetoric to yourself.
You and another poster sound like you're defending a man who robs a bank at gunpoint, and then says their was no money in the vault, so it's not that bad.
It's a character issue. Not a team issue. I don't like Meyer, but this isn't on him or the team. A full game suspension is appropriate, and he could even pick the game if it were me deciding. But, Meyer left himself open for criticism with a half gamer.
Hell, Miles held a graduating senior out of a half Sugar Bowl for missing curfew.

Sure there are dirty plays, late hits, cheap shots,chop-blocks,that get that ire;but somehow watching him digging into that guys mask, after the play, with him being pinned, struggling with one hand to defend his sight, was just too brutal. Sure I like the brutality of the sport, but this was over the top. You can have your own opinion, thats just mine. To each their own,I guess.
