It seems that the cornerstone of the SEC's position is self-governance. It's right to govern its members. They believe that's at stake.
But the fact of the matter is the SEC has never been allowed to have supreme self-governance. It can't create rules that are discriminatory. It can't create rules that are in violation of U.S. law. It can't create rules that deny people a right to work. So they are essentially defending an imaginary position that has never really existed outside of its ability to set schedules, fees and the conditions that govern their everyday, ordinary operations.

The players will then list LSU in their injunction just like they did with Missouri.
Sankeys thrown together rule makes LSU have to choose between punishment of the conference or liable in court.
no doubt
its not just him, its the ncaa too
look im not excusing them...its fricking dumb arse wording and enforcement of the rules
all the OM fans are out there saying hey you might have won yesterday but are going to get killed in fed court
no LSU is about to wipe the mother fricking floor with the SEC in court, because the NCAA and SEC pick and choose when to enforce rules and eligibility
im not saying the players dont have a point
I am saying...this whole thing is a bad look to LSU as a brand, as a school and a bad look for everyone involved. I also think its a huge distraction
i also think OM fans can shut the frick up because
A) they are pussies
B) because their QB is essentially ineligible if the fed courts rule TRO of lower courts do not count
C) they do not understand that the players in question did not play in preseason, didnt catch a pass etc
they are the biggest douche bags out there right now, followed closely by many of my fellow LSU fans.

No, Dae'Quan Wright never played a snap in a preseason NFL game. While he spent time on the summer rosters for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns, he did not see any actual game action:With the Eagles: He participated in training camp but was waived before Philadelphia played their opening preseason matchup. With the Browns: An injury kept him sidelined, and though he even suited up for a preseason game with Cleveland, ... he didn't play. He only participated in pre-game warmups before being waived to return to college football. lol. hopefully you know more football than law. no school has to play any kid. Ever.
I meant roster them. Not necessarily put them on the field. Obviously that is earned.
It was talked about yesterday on the radio
