SEC refs

I don't watch a ton of college football outside the SEC games. Is the ref issue a college issue or more just a SEC issue?
Are the refs in the other conferences as consistently questionable as they are in the SEC?
Feels like this year's SEC crews are averaging at least 2 big blown calls that have a major affect on tight games a week, maybe more.

I think every conference has ref issues. It's just that ours are magnified because so many people watch SEC games.
For instance - none of A&M's SEC opponents have been flagged for holding so far this season against our defensive line. Not one-time.
Honestly, I think SEC refs don't really focus on holding unless its blatant - coaches really should coach their OL to hold on every play.

No one to replace the incompetent 60 years olds deciding CFB
Some look like they need a nap and their tapioca pudding, not 60 mins of CFB officiating

I watched that LSU/Scar game and Auburn/ATM and man the refs were atrocious. Game changing calls on both occasions, it's just unfortunate in only one game did the rightful team come out winning.
What are some other terrible calls from this season?
I believe in the SEC they know they have the national exposure and have power trips calling games. The rush of controlling something that important, and then ultimately having to go back to their sad pathetic lives off screen.
It just means more, right?

it's national. They were just as bad in the big 12. Hell in one game against Oklahoma state we were called for 18 penalties to their 0... ZERO.
You can't convince me that there isn't some dirty shite going on in some of these games. Some of those guys are making money on the side fixing games/point spreads.

Holding is one of those calls the dirty refs use when they want to affect the outcome of game or point spread. Considering how unequally they call it you can't convince me otherwise.

Well, your program has figured out a way to get those calls reversed. Throw bottles and trash on the field like a crowd of spoiled 5 years olds. It worked very well for y’all.

Alabama holds the record. They went from 1981 until 2022 without ever being called for holding. Not one time. Holding was coached and taught on a professional level at Bammer.

one incident. Stop being a drama queen. It was a terrible decision. You still won.
We are DEAD LAST in opponent penalties in the SEC. If anyone should be whining it should be us. Especially when you consider some of the shitty teams we have played. Doesn't even seem possible.

I truly believe Texas got many bad calls from Big 12 referees after we announced we were leaving for the SEC.
I think the referee competence/corruption issue is way out of hand, and there should be a full effort to professionalize the job as a desirable career with benefits, pensions, and high pay.

Florida did get called for holding against us, so its not "none of A&M's SEC opponents"
Opposing linemen havent been called for holding since the second quarter of our game against Bowling Green in week 4.
