JPW had a good JR season.. the running game wasn't as dominant and the defense was still young. He obviously was held back slightly last year, but he did manage to only throw 8 INTs last year.
What more would you have had him do last year? He made clutch throws in several huge wins (Ole Miss, UGA, LSU) and the gameplan revolved around Coffee running to the left into JPW throwing PA bootlegs to tight ends more often than throwing down field.
McElory may have more physical talents than JPW, but first year starters in the SEC are going to have growing pains, especially with a young OL.

Nothing. He did a good job IMO.

Never said he wouldn't have growing pains. I think the first game may be very tough--but if he wins that and goes on to whip Fla INT and NTexas, his confidence will be sky high. On the other hand, if he has a very difficult time with VT, it could be a long year.
Overrated or not, that Clemson game set the tone last season. Another big win like that, and we could have another great run--but a loss, and it will be totally different.
We will see.
