it doesn't bother us really. What bothers us are the State fans that have convinced themselves that winning the West is somehow better than everything Ole Miss has ever accomplished.

honestly, Ole Miss has probably had a more impressive resume the past 25 years or so, but it's not by a lot IMO. Both teams have been incapable of consistently being competitive football teams. But I do think Ole Miss has a better chance to be successful than State does because...Starkville

i generally define modern as post integration, which means the 70s and on given all schools hadn't integrated until then. LSU didn't have a black player until 1972.

So the moon landings aren't modern then? Got it.

Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?

Why? So you don't consider the moon landing to be in "modern" times?

as far as football is concerned, no.

Stop putting time tables on everything. Only lesser programs do this so the stats are in their favor. Do you only look at first half or second half stats? No. You look at the entire body of work to determine who is better.

That's why he ended up with a losing record against us, right?

My father-in-law retired from Stennis. I have seen the old test stands there where they tested the Saturn V engines that put all those men on and around the moon. There are two newer generations of test stands that tested all the shuttle main engines and new experimentals like the aero-spike engines to power the national space plane. NASA considers the moon landings and the Saturn program as antiquity.

Most experts agree that cfb started in 90 though.

OM has won more bowl games since I've been alive than State has been invited to (again, since I've been alive). LOL @ State. History is fun.

And yes, I realize OM will never take the next step comparing its success to that of Mississippi State.
