And all of them are saying "as reported by yellowhammer". No other sources have confirmed it independently.
Obviously because they don't have inside sources at SEC offices like Grayson Everett does. Why does ESPN/Disney allow McAffee's show to bring Herbstreit on and discuss the topic it as it relates to one of their cash cows? There was no, we don't know if this true or not in that discussion.

Every single time they show and talk about things while the offense is in the process of putting the ball into play. Because that's the entire purpose of the rule, to prevent players from..."Disconcerting Signals".
That was already against the rules. What changed this year?
Once the ball is spotted and the official signals for the playclock to wind the ball is prepared for play.
In an earlier post you said yourself Alabama has been burned several times when the center snapped the ball and the quarterback wasn’t ready for it.
Since you say I am wrong, can you at least explain what changed about the rule this year?

What about Grayson Everett makes you believe he has an inside source at the SEC Office? He may, but based on his background - which involves virtually no sports coverage, do we have any reason to believe that?

Are you under the impression that ESPN doesn't allow for discussion on rumors?

They added in specific signals that are reserved for one side or another.
AKA, the defense can't use a clap for their signals, and the offense can't yell MOVE.
But the timing of when these penalties can occur seems pretty clear and is also part of the rule. And the times when Alabama got burned, it was when the offense was in the process of putting the ball into play.
I don't think anyone is disputing the nature of what will cause a penalty, but what is being disputed is the time frame in which it is penalty.

Can you imagine if Ken Williamson’s crew is assigned to another Auburn game this season? A few heads might explode.

Asking this question still doesnt give any credibility to the single source story

Can you clarify this? I have attached the actual 2025 rule. It says in regards to clapping:
It just says “preparing to put the ball in play.” So when is this exact moment by rule? Do you not think the center lining up over the ball is preparing to put the ball in play?

We are basing Grayson’s supposed connection with the SEC Office on the fact that he graduated from Alabama a few years ago?

The offensive line was looking behind them when the Auburn player was clapping.
So no, Georgia was not in the process of putting the ball in play, they were in the process of changing the play call.

You said the rule is clear. When exactly is the offense preparing to put the ball in play.
I would argue calling an audible or changing protection at the line is absolutely “preparing to put the ball in play.”
By rule, what constitutes “preparing to put the ball in play?”

Let's start with the offensive lineman should be facing the defensive lineman.

The ball is in the process of and being prepared to be put in play as soon as the play clock starts. The process and preparation can take 1 second and up to the max whether it be 25 or 40 seconds. During this time when the play clock is operating, the defense players cannot clap for any reason. It doesn’t matter if the offense is square dancing and the QB is doing the worm. Is the updated version of the rule really that hard to understand?

I just am asking for someone to explain what actually changed with the rule. Something changed. Do you know?

It’s either an illegal snap, or Neutral zone infraction and it was a touchdown or it wasn’t
