SEC NCAA basketball national title drought

I don't care how tough the SEC looks this year, I'm still a skeptic that we have "arrived" until one of us cuts down the nets.
It has been 12 years since an SEC team won it all, and 17 since anyone besides Kentucky (who we can't rely on anymore). None of us have an overwhelmingly dominant level of raw talent to separate from the pack. This tournament has traditionally been completely dominated by blue blood names winning it all.
I still think of the SEC teams as underdogs.

We should win it this year. Gone are the days where we only got 3 teams in the tournament

There is no dominant team this year like UConn was the year before last.. It’s up for grabs so maybe an sec team can step up.

Most seasons have only 1 or 2 teams rated over 30 on kenpom. This season has 6 teams and 3 teams over 35. I would say it's up for grabs but there are several elite teams this season.
Put in perspective for last season, UConn had 36.43, Houston had 31.17, and Purdue had 30.62.

Yep, there is no one team who stands above the rest this year. It’s up for grabs.
But the dance is crazy. One year it was kansas who was best and Arkansas knocked them out of the tournament, then the next year it’s gonzaga and Arkansas knocked them out of the tournament. You never know what will happen.
