That championship doesn't mean shite today. Do you see any A&M fans beating their chest over 1939?

What about the standing offer from the president of A&M?

President > AD

And I don't even know what interview you are talking about, but I bet he said the truth - that the game helps Texas more than it helps us nowadays so frick it.

Im pretty sure that during DeLoss Dodds tenure as Athletic Director of tu over the last 30 some odd years, he is .500 against Texas A&M.

Ok, there has to be an explanation for why they have '97 and '10 up there as Conference Champions. Ags, why is that?

The SEC has two extra teams now due to our decisions in the past. We are SEC expansion.

The 2 Natty's were both undefeated SWC Champion teams. The photo on the conference championships was taken in the week or so while they were waiting for the "South" lettering to come in and be added which is what is there now.

Texas OTOH proudly claims 1970 even though they got blown out by ND in the Cotton Bowl.

Yes, Texas owned A&M from WWII until the early '70s in a period where A&M was basically an all male military school and there were no limitations on scholarships. We only won 3 games in almost 4 decades. That is why Texas has such a huge lead in the series. Prior to WWII the playing field was more even as it was after scholarship limitations came to pass, thus why the series was also basically even during that time. Still, Texas owns the all time series and likely always will. If dreaming of how Texas used to beat up on A&M 50 years ago makes you happy more power to ya. The future is what matters and the future is looking more and more maroon.

A&M has always been older than Texas. Virtually every tradition at Texas has been in response to our traditions from their fight song to their hand signal to the "Longhorn" nickname to the name of their nutless bovine to their Hex Rally. We are now larger than Texas and are about to grow quite a bit larger. The difference in living alumni is closing every year and in 10-15 years A&M will likely overtake Texas. We are in a far superior conference than Texas. We are kicking Texas' arse in recruiting like a rented mule especially in head to head matchups. We will soon have a larger and nicer stadium than Texas with better facilities.

Tuck Fexas.
