So all these other conferences get to play NBA draft players, but the SEC doesn’t because Greg Sankey says so.
Good job Greg! Way to put your conference at a competitive disadvantage

What are you talking about? We have four of them.
Ohhhhhh, you meant past drafts, not next years’ draft.

There are 2 very distinct "NBA draft guys" seeking eligibilty:
Category 1: guys looking to be grandfathered into Five For Five.
These are only the players that completed eligibility last year and argue they wouldn't have entered the draft had they been given the extra year.
Category 2: guys that have nothing at all to do with Five For Five
International players that entered previous NBA drafts and then chose to play pro internationally instead of the G League
I think Category 1 Five For Five players that never signed pro deals will have good luck getting eligibility (just like all the football players).
I think the NCAA/SEC will fight with all they have to keep out foreign players that, say, entered the 2024 NBA draft but then played professional ball overseas. They want to keep that door of entering NBA draft then also playing professional anywhere closed as tightly as possible.
