I remember Auburn going into Knoxville as an underdog and beating a ranked Tennessee. Auburn getting scoring contributions from everybody, while Tennessee got virtually all its production from a few guys.
In that game Auburn had five guys score in double figures. Another three who scored over 5. All 9 players who stepped on the floor for Auburn scored.
Tennessee had virtually all its production in that game from only 4 players (Williams, Schoefield, Bone, and Turner). Outside of those four, only three other players scored any points at all for Tennessee and those three players combined for a total of 6 points. Three players didn't score at all, including one who played 20 minutes. Three Vol player with over 20 minutes each combined for 3 total points.
No surprise that the team with depth and options took control in the second half and won, while the top heavy team faded away and blew it.
