Truth be told it's the great series win vs FSU that has me so surprised about the results vs GSU. I know it's early, it's OOC, and the in-state teams love to throw everything at the big-name schools, but damn. Can't say I saw this coming.

Ga Southern is a solid program. Rainy and cold conditions, on the road against a team that always plays Tech and UGA tough, and every game in the series was decided by 1 run. It sucks to lose all 3, but each game could have gone either way. Just unfortunate.

We'll still make a regional.
Our pitching (assuming we aren't without our ace too long, who hurt his arm Friday) is too good for us to just flounder all year. We're somewhere between the FSU and GSU series. Our pitching was pretty consistently good in both series, but our bats were hot in the first one and stone cold in teh second. We likely aren't as good or bad as either one would indicate. But we are absolutely good enough to make noise this year.

is it normal that yall play clemson on Mondays? I know baseball has Tue/Wed games but I'm not used to seeing any on MOndays.

The game was orignially set for Fri/Sat/Sun, but the Sunday game was postponed to today, b/c of weather.

interesting. I know UGA a few years ago was playign someone (might have been LSU?) and they ended up just canceling the sunday game. I didn't realize they'd play on monday. Seems like schools would have an issue with that getting in the way of class time.
