Despite passing the eye test at 273, Upshaw is looking to get down to 265. He is also willing to play either OLB or DE, not that he has a choice.

I would be happy if he were on my draft board. The fact that he is so versatile will make him much valuable, although he is already a stud.

Upshaw

He could play either, but I think he's best fitted for the OLB in the 3-4.

Reminds me of Suggs, maybe a bit more compact and not quite the length.

I think it would be a waste use him as a DE with all the experience at OLB he has. I think he'll wind up in a 34 regardless, maybe as early as #10 with the Bills.

I've seen Suggs comparisons, and I've seen James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley ones...

whichever team drafts Upshaw, their defense will immediately become scarier

I wonder how many Alabama players Bill Belicheck has on his draft board. He already has Brandon Deadrick and Mark Anderson on his DL. Would not be surprised to see him take Upshaw, Hightower, Chapman, Barron or Menzie. That defense needs help.

Adams and Wright are really improving their draft stock in these postseason all-star games. Hopefully Greg Childs can impress during his pro-day as I don't think he got a combine invite which sucks because halfway thru his junior year he looked to be a big time prospect

Yeah those guys are stud receivers. Hopefully Joe Adams size won't lead to lingering injuries in the NFL.

of this group, i think the Pats are most likely to take Barron, if he's available. i think he'd love to have upshaw but no way he's still around

Oh

I understand now, haven't been there in a while. I live in Oxford part time, the rest of the time I live in Gulf Breeze, FL.

I have been to that new-ish place across from it recently though, Yume I think?

No kidding, Joe is a great kid. I am glad he is getting a chance to show his talents. I watched him and DJ Williams on the same HS team absolutely dominate my old high school

I enjoyed the DJ Williams story. He's the kind of guy kids should look up to.
