Is Maze going to play in the game? It seems like a short recovery time from the Championship game. I am not sure if I would be willing to reinjure myself if I was in his shoes.
I think he's going to try. Depends on what exactly he injured, he needs these postseason events for the sake of his draft stock. Mark Barron can afford to pull out of something like this(I think he did in fact), his stock is stable among a weak class of Safeties.
I still can't get over how plain he looked at the weigh-in. I guess it could be impressive considering he did all he did not at his physical peak...

Where's a link to describe the players' build, like last year when they said some people had "chicken legs" and a "bubble butt?" Those are for good entertainment.

I thought that he had an adductor muscle strain. If the strain was bad enough, it is like a hamstring with rest being the best therapy.

al.com called it a hammy in today's article about his participation. Maze said he's been rehabbing it and should be around 85% for the game.

I had a class with maze (and a ton of other players) about 2.5 years ago. I'm 5'8" and I was definitely taller than maze.

Per Chase Goodbread, Upshaw was unstoppable in the 1st practice, only person who fared well against him is UGA's Cordy Glenn.
Maze didn't participate, will try again tomorrow. I tave a feeling he will pull out. Both Brad Smelley and DeAngelo Peterson made some nice catches today, but both look small as TEs. Vlachos held his own 1-on-1, his low center of gravity helped on the wet grass. Boykin and Menzie both displayed good instincts at CB, rarely out of position. Ingram from USCe also had a great start, and for some reason was wearing a Redskins helmet.
He also said Arkansas' Joe Adams had the best day in his eyes for the South.
From the media side, Menzie declined interviews, Upshaw wowed in his, and Maze was asked by a scout if he had ever smoked weed. Maze says he's never smoked, nor has he ever failed a drug test.

Walterfootball's weigh-in analysis:
quote:
Mississippi State running back Vick Ballard (5-10, 217) has an excellent build. He has a strong upper body that looks like good armor to take the pounding that comes with his position.
While Georgia cornerback Brandon Boykin (5-9, 183) is short, he is ripped. Boykin looks like he trains hard and obviously is in phenomenal shape.
Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller (6-4, 217) has a defined body. He looked good in the eyeball test.
Georgia guard/tackle Cordy Glenn (6-5, 346) was a little sloppy in his appearance, but he is a massive man who has the frame to be a beast. If he can trim some fat while adding some functional strength he could help his power and quickness.
Texas A&M running back Cyrus Gray (5-10, 198) was impressive. He looked bigger and more chiseled than was expected.
Vanderbilt cornerback Casey Hawyard (5-11, 188) is ripped. He posted good numbers and didn't check in shorter than listed.
Georgia center Ben Jones (6-2, 304) has a sloppy body that needs some work.
Alabama cornerback Marquis Maze (5-7, 184) is strikingly short. That measurement could really hurt him.
Alabama tight end Brad Smelley (6-1, 233) is very undersized. He probably has to move to fullback and is not big enough to play tight end.
LSU safety Brandon Taylor (5-11, 202) is defined and has a tough-looking physique.
Alabama outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw (6-1, 273) was heavier than expected, but he carries that weight really well. He is extremely strong and looks like a bear.
Alabama center William Vlachos (6-0, 306) had a fat, ugly body. He needs to hit the weight room hard at the next level.

Why are our B12 players so damn big

I saw Maze and Smelley too, neither look like football players. You'd expect Maze would be ripped at that size, but not so much...
I was surprised by this as well.

Wow, he went hard on Vlachos.

It's kinda awkward because Vlachos is a weight room junkie, yet he still looks like he does.
