more of a Nebraska problem than a Scott Frost problem.

I know UCF is G5 but he built a good program there that even the next coach was able to thrive in and leverage into a SEC job. So frost can do something a right. Maybe he’s not a good P5 coach but what he’s done before suggests that he’s not as bad as the 3-9 coach he was yearly at Nebraska

I would assume Harsin. From what it sounds like Frost got lazy with recruits and was late to meetings/practices. I know I wouldn’t want a guy that just mailed it in at his alma mater.

that’s a good point.

It’s why I think Auburn fans who want Mullen are insane

It wasn’t his alma mater but Mullen mailed it in regularly at Miss state and tried it at Florida too but couldn’t get away with it as long there as he could in starkville

I don't know any Auburn fans who want Mullen.

But we have our share of ignorant, unrealistic fans like most SEC schools do

apparently they’re calling a local radio station (WJOX) and saying it. There’s a thread on the rant saying it

I know I saw that.

But the people who take the time to call into local radio shows probably aren't the best and brightest of our fanbase.

Definitely that’s what I’m saying. Those callers are insane for wanting Mullen, unless it’s just Bama fans trolling

That’s sad.

Geez you even have me feeling bad for the more balanced Barn fans now.

That's the worst part...our rival fans aren't even giving us shite like they should be it's such a shitty situation. Now we just get pity

Part of that is that we aren't fighting or arguing how bad we are right now. It's not even fun to pick on Auburn fans right now.

It’s true

Most barn fans completely agree with everyone who is commenting negatively about the situation.

Usually fan bases hiss and bite back but you guys, for the most part, are in complete agreement with the non Auburn fans

Because he lost to Penn State?

Most of Auburn's players quit in the second half. In game 3 of the season in their current staff's second year. It's a matter of when not if at this point. If it were any other program they'd pull the trigger early so the new hire can be announced as soon as the season is over to try and salvage whatever can be salvaged of the recruiting class. But it's Auburn, so even if they fire him early the coaching search will still be a circus that lasts until just before ESD or possibly beyond.

Per sport radio...

Nebraska asst coaches approached AD regarding Frost being late to practice and meetings and cutting practices short.

Wanted to be Head Coach and make the $$$, didn't want to spend the time coaching.

I'd be surprised if he got another HC job any time soon.

Don't doubt it. Frost didn't see himself as a coach but one of the guys. The dreaded players coach. When the coach starts kissing players cheeks, doing drills with them, stretching with them, little stuff like that you lose them because 18, 19 year olds haven't developed self discipline and don't view you as an authority figure.
When you're stretching and the a-hole in the straw hat is screaming at you because he doesn't feel you are doing it right then you do it right. Lombardi said it best...coaching is 50 strategist and 50 percent son of a bitch.
