They just need to let it go. Anyone with a half a brain knows that the only people claiming UCF was the national champion are the UCF fans and the much, much larger group of people who don't actually believe UCF deserved to be crowned as national champions but have a vested interest in trolling Bama. And the Bama fans who react are giving the latter group exactly what it wants.

Don’t really see the issue with UCF claiming to be champions. Having faced both teams, UCF was clearly the better team.

The Iron Bowl was a laugher that became pathetic to watch. I actually started feeling sorry for Saban and his roster of payrolled players midway through Q3.

Based on your thinking I want to officially claim the NC for my team, the University of Georgia. Georgia destroyed AU in the SEC championship. So if all it takes for Central Fla to claim the NC is a win over AU we more than qualify. We kicked their rears into next Tuesday. Parade details will be announced soon.

To be fair, had the SEC East been worth a shite, UGA would’ve never been given the privilege of being on the same field a second time with a much more injured Auburn squad.

40-17, Bama, then mUlliGAn.

Lols.

I'm not even sure why a Texas A&M fan is in here.

My, my, my aren't those grapes sour? Spit them out and get over it! UGA owns AU. Has for years. Don't believe it. Check the win/loss records for the past decade. Your one moment of glory came with a bought and paid for QB and the NCAA snooping around your campus. Poor little Tigers. By mid season they will be banging their pointed little heads against their stadium for giviing that truckload of $ to Gus.

They would've played Michigan after we knocked off #1 FSU as 14-30 point dogs.
Disagree though. FSU may have been better than Nebraska but they would've kicked the absolute shite out of us.
What must people don't know is that Nebraska was still #2 in the Coaches poll but then Osborne announced he was retiring and they made Peyton Manning cry in the Orange Bowl.

I watched that 97 UF FSU game and a lot of Nebraska's 97 season and a lot of UF's 97 season. I don't think that 97 Nebraska team could have ever stopped UF's offense. From 95 to 97 I think UF had better teams in two of those three years.

That's a good point about Osborne announcing his retirement at a good time - it's the only reason they got voted #1. It was a retirement gift.

With all the problems there from rampant accusations that the weight room was a PED warehouse, to Philips dragging women around by their hair...it amazes me that Osborne had such a good reputation.

" A much more injured Auburn squad." If they weren't man enough to take up the slack they should have ceded the West to Bama.

Why do you idiots keep falling for the transitive property? Alabama beat three teams that beat Auburn.

I guess it's good for him to acknowledge something everyone else knows is true. Glad he caught up.

Is it their fault the rest of their conference is shitty?

If y’all dont want the G5 teams to have a chance, then move them to FCS or form another division.

They are FBS, they went undefeated, they are the champs. End of story.

What was their non conference schedule? SOS is not a problem specifically unique to UCF.
