Gonna be a shitshow.
SEC leadership has been extremely poor. They should have addressed their decision making on the matchups before releasing a fricking schedule that will likely come with no explanation.

Like are they just banking on the season being cancelled? The Ark and Mizzou matchups don’t make sense, and they just claimed they were “random”?

Like does anyone actually believe the commissioner just randomly picked matchups out of a hat? Just be honest about the process and have balls to handle the fallout.

Big 12 acc and sec need to get together and agree on a 10 game schedule 8 conference games with 2 ooc one from each conference would be the best bet for everyone

If the SEC can’t even make a conference only schedule without controversy, a SEC-B12 schedule would be a nightmare.

Plus, frick the Big 12. SEC matchups are more exciting overall. Big 12 has like 2 worthwhile teams.

It's only a controversy to the lesser schools in the conference.
Everyone else will celebrate the SEC leading FBS.

Exactly most schools were fine with the schedule, the 4 rookie coaches were the only ones with issues.

Like a school that needs to be shielded from tough competition because the only reason it’s seen as “good” outside of the conference is because it makes it to the final four on the back of a weak division.

As a Mississippi State fan, I’m happy with the schedule. We are going to struggle with a new coach regardless, so I’d rather have the opportunity to upset a big name than not. I’d rather they replace Vandy with Florida too while they’re at it so we have another shut at Mullen.

As a general SEC fan, it’s obvious measures were taken to protect the illusion that Georgia is actually a championship contender. I mean this story is on ESPN. The cat is out of the bag, and the conference needs to address it.

This isn’t true according to numerous reports from reputable outlets (aka not Dan Wolkien)

When is the last time Mississippi State played a more difficult schedule than Bama?

It hasn't happened in the last decade, I can tell you that.

Stop bitching. Our conference is letting our guys play. It could be a lot worse. The teams bitching about the schedule weren’t winning a championship this year anyway.

are you going to watch football this season? I know your are adamant that it is wrong to play this year. If you watch doesn’t that make you a hypocrite?

I’ve never said this. You are delusional if you think there will be a championship though. Most people are just hoping for a full season.
