Being in the SEC will make me more of a Mizzou baseball fan. I'm not a fan of either MLB team in MO so it will be nice to have a baseball team to follow.

Hello. Mizzou basketball is playing great this year and I hope you play Kentucky in the tourney and kick their butt.

I might have to agree with you.

Don't hold your breath. The only team that's even close to playing on our level right now is Cuse IMO.

How can you live in MO and not be at least a Cardinals fan??

And I know they haven't been that great historically but Mizzou has actually had some pretty good baseball players that are in the majors- Kinsler, Scherzer, Aaron Crow, Marcum (transferred to SMS and was on their CWS team), and of course former Cardinal Mike Shannon, who my dad says was the best high school athlete to ever come out of Missouri.

I idolized Griffey Jr as a kid so I always rooted for the team he was playing for. He was with the Reds for most of the 2000's so its hard to be a fan of a team I wanted to beat for so long.

Everyone says Mike Shannon was a better qb than a 3rd baseman. He chose to play baseball because it payed better.

I think Mizzou made it to the Super Regionals in '06 and also won a national championship in '54

Was Shannon a St. Louis guy? Crazy to think he was an elite athlete in his younger days, I'm only 30 so I only associate him with his broadcasting under the influence of cold frosty Budweisers.

Ya he's from St.Louis and played for the Cardinals. Had a some kind of disease that ended his playing career.

Only in the backward arse south would someone utter such nonsense.

Where's the hype for the CWS? I don't think many people outside of the south even watch that crap. Most of the country watches March Madness.

Says the Yankee from Kentucky.

You guys should apply for the big east, they need new schools and you are a cultural fit.

NW Arkansas is the least Southern region in the SEC. Nice try.

Arkansas just wants to be elite in something relevant, so they push the baseball is bigger argument. LSU just wants to be good in the two biggest sports, so they try to convince people baseball is bigger.

They're nothing but agendas and no one believes it but those two fan bases.

Kentucky wants people to believe that basketball is all that matters, their ACC/Big East envy is cute.

I like football a hell of a lot more than basketball. I even like baseball more than basketball. Again, nice try, though.

College basketball matters more than college baseball everywhere except in the south. That's a fact.

Thats like saying I have friends who are black, but I am not a racist. Bad way to make your argument.
