If you play Texas, you risk having the away game on the LHN. Period.
Maybe. But I highly doubt it. LSU is not Ole Miss. The ratings from a potential LSU -Texas would be too big for the tier 2 network to pass on, especially if Texas sees any resurgence in the next few years.

No chance. Literally we would not come out of the locker room if they tried to pull that.

Bro, he's a sip or a sip t-shirt fan. Look through his post history.....he's not worth your time
It consists of:
Politics
Religion
Defending and cheering for Big 12 teams on the off topic board
Cowboy games
Texas A&M discussion
3 years and maybe 10 posts discussing LSU

Look through his post history.
1) obsession noted
2) I talk about LSU in real life and there is no way I can keep up with the crazy on the Tiger Rant. I talk about things on message boards that I don't get enough of with real life friends.
3) I post in most in game threads, but a lot of my posts are whacked and I don't believe scoreboard posts show up in history.
4) I defended TCU and Baylor because I have too many friends that are OSU fans. I was pissed that I have to listen to them.
5) Lastly, the fact that you think anyone that bashes A&M must be a Texas fan shows how obsessed you still are with big brother.

Ratings from one game is small potatoes to ESPN. In fact, the fact it is LSU pretty much ENSURES the game will be on the LHN.
The REAL money, and what the Ole Miss game was used for, is distribution leverage. Making so much money from every cable provider in a state every month is much more dough than the money you can raise from selling the ad time in a single game.
If that LSU-Texas game gets moved to the LHN because of a deal prior to that offseason, then ESPN can spend months HAMMERING cable providers in Louisiana to pick up the LHN to avoid pissed off customers who want to see that game.
It is the same reason we will see more and more marquee SEC vs SEC games end up on the "Tier 3" SEC Network- the real money is in cable company extortion and milking all those women who just get cable to watch Lifetime, Bravo, HGTV, and Food Network.
Welcome to college football in 2014.
