I 100% agree. If Aggies REALLY ran the State then they would play and defeat Texas to prove it.

This is so ridiculous it begs the question, what do you consider a long time and what do you consider irrelevant?

Consider this: before FSU last year, Texas was the last non-SEC team to win the national championship and they played for one more recently than 11 of the 14 current SEC teams.

Even considering they have been down on the field, they managed a to land a huge contract with ESPN to start their own network that has been forced on most of the country. If that is irrelevant, please tell me the accomplishments of your team that are so vastly more impressive?

I didn't want it, but I have it. Sorry you're poor.

Again, try to come up with a scenario is the real world that makes little bro more relevant than Texas?

All I have ever seen is the former AD and current AD at Texas stating their desire not to play aTm again. Whether aTm worked the SEC to not play this bowl cycle I don't know. But what benefit does playing this game in a shitty bowl do for either Texas or aTm? Bowl payouts are set. ESPN and the Texas Bowl would see all the economic value. They would be leaving money on the table, play this game in JerryWorld to start the season, negotiate a tv contract and ticket sales.

Longhorn Network is not available on the #1 and #2 providers.

Comcast and DirecTV make up over 70% of subscribers.

That's cool. Now try refuting the rest of my post.

I'll wait.

I don't have to. If it was truly forced on most of the country, it would be in more than 30% of households.

I know you don't have to. But you're avoiding the real issue by focusing on a narrow point.

Is Texas football relevant? Yes or no?

If TAMU really wanted to play UT, then why isn't it publishing stuff every day pwning UT for being too scared to play them? I would be all over that if I was the TAMU marketing department.

You don't spend your resources on ripping another school. It looks pretty petty coming from an institution. Message boards, "insiders" etc...can do that but a marketing campaign designed to beat on a "former" rival plays right into the aTm little sister syndrome that already exists.

That's funny because 4 & 5* high school kids absolutely love it. They wear shirts with #WRTS on them, they #WRTS on all of their tweets

Seems to serve it's purpose well

How is #WRTS a negative marketing campaign? It's a # to popularize aTm and it's football recruits. A pretty smart branding effort to be exact, but it isn't a campaign to bang on Texas.
