Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill took aim at SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey following Thursday’s historic college eligibility hearing in Baton Rouge.
Murrill was particularly critical of Sankey’s testimony that he had not seen the NCAA rule at the center of the ongoing eligibility battle until Thursday.
“I think there were a lot of things today that he said that were rather offensive,” Murrill said. “Starting with the fact that he said that he had never seen the rule today that we were discussing until today.
“These lawsuits have been filed all over the country. It seems very disingenuous to me for the commissioner of the SEC to act like he has never seen this rule until today, or the entire NCAA manual that's in effect right now until today.
“If that's true, then I really wonder why he's making $4.8 million a year and has a private jet.”

She is very poised - I appreciated her engagement on this issue.

Cry about it. Sankey did this to himself by showing up to court and trying to wing it. Don't blame LSU fans.
