The TV deal he did with Disney is beyond my comprehension. Why did he let no one else even bid on the games? He would not even talk to CBS, when that contract expired.
Look at the TV ratings for this year. SEC games are drawing big numbers.

Sankey is horrible at his job. He is supposed to advocate for his LEAGUE. He has done no such thing, and instead has likely advocated for specific programs. Meanwhile, while I like the AllABC broadcasting, it's no secret that we got shafted in the TV rights deal.

SEC pride became a thing when Auburn got snubbed and then there was a serious push to do the same to Florida 2006. Meanwhile Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee were perennially stacked.
This new format has the same feel. The Big-10 gets the benefit of the home game and gets 4 teams, and a couple teams with 80th ranked SOS get buys.
The SEC played its way out of that in major bowls and BCS championships. It will have to do the same with this playoff. We won’t get a benefit for playing in this conference.
