Very interesting that you bring this up, because even most of the Saban players at LSU were average at best.

It sucks when everyone plays at the same time

I guess his best defensive players NFL wise from LSU would be Laron Landry, Kyle Williams, Corey Webster....

I would put Saban's defense in the same category as Manchester City FC 2011-2012 season.

Aye? Naw?

Saban puts guys into the league, and they play and start. What they do beyond that is on them and their NFL coaches, he got them where they wanted to be--they have to make the most of their opportunity from that point forward.

I knew that would get your attention....

Did I tell you Manchester City played in a friendly vs Club America a few years back in ATL....and I was able to get all the playerss to sign my soccer ball. I was a volunteer and was able to work the touchline near their bench.

the only big bust he has had on defense, and even that's not a definite, is CB Kareem Jackson.
There were some busts from his LSU days. Chad Lavalais(sp).

Saban for the most part doesn't get the athletic freaks on defense. No Clowney, Patrick Peterson, Mingo type players. Out side of Dareus and maybe Hightower non if his players have elite size to speed ratio. He usually goes after the disciplined, scheme specific type players. Landon Collins looks to have that elite size to speed ratio.
Julio, Richardson, Hightower, Barron, Dareus will probably all contend to make pro bowls because they were elite athletes the rest of the players were definitely enhanced by superior coaching and scheme.
Sabans reputation does get a lot if Bama players over drafted it even drafted at all.

In before the barntard comes back and talks about how well Cam is doing these days.
The Barn sure knows how to raise and mold players

Cam's talent was obvious in college. Everyone talked about his running and strong arm, but he had a beautiful touch pass when he needed it. Carolina really needs to build a team around him.

Yeah, I must say Saban's players on defense at Bama have been much better than at LSU. I think a large degree of that is due to better DL and LB prospects in the geographic areas Bama chiefly recruits in.

Are you trying to lessent he success of Saban and/or Coach K?
So they are both winning with average players basically? I think that just shows you how good they are then if thats the case. I mean...imagine when they get super talented players at Duke and Alabama

It helps me sleep at night to think they are on the roids.

if you are compared to Dook Bball, then at least you follow all rules and are a model program academically, morally, and legally.
