You’ve melted more over Saban’s comments than Jimbo.

No AU fan is surprised by Jimbo's comments. First, we are well aware of Jimbo. Second, we have known for a while that he speaks the truth.

If Nick Saban is dirty, then by necessity that means Will Muschamp and Kevin Steele are dirty.

You remember them, don't you?

I didn’t realize the pure desperation from him until seeing it live. We didn’t watch the Dynasty die on the field yet, as they’re still loaded with a couple of #1 classes, but we did watch it die off the field. He openly admits that there’s nothing the NCAA can do to enforce their own rules without federal litigation. He also says that it’s only going to get worse with people paying players with NIL.

It really does mark the end of an era.
I agree with this. Alabama won't be able to keep up monetarily.

If nothing changes, it would take 3 to 4 years for Alabama to fall back into mediocrity. No longer able to buy the best players, Saban won't be the best coach out there. Ask Michigan State...or better yet, ask the Miami Dolphins.

Saban sees the writing on the wall, that's why he's crying like a little bitch.

If nothing changes, Saban will be out of coaching within 3 years.

We truly are at the doorstep of a brand new era in college football. The stakes are higher than they ever have been or probably ever will be. Alabama simply can't keep up under those conditions. Saban knows this.

If Bama wins it all this year, my guess is he retires.

And I hope he doesn’t retire bc he did major damage to himself and NIL is going to be the least of his worries. Negative recruiting from his statements will be used by all schools. He’s going to lash out more and more.

A&M beat him with a third string quarterback.

And have accomplished nothing else in the decade they’ve been in this conference. Too bad they don’t hand out trophies for going 8-5.

Both worked under a totally different system while at Auburn. Most assistants fall into step with the system that the school has in place. AUs cheating couldn,t touch the system that Bama had in place. Again, most of the legwork was done by assistants and the boosters (REC/LSU version) and Saban would just give them the wink. Like I said, Saban didn't invent it, he just perfected it.

Everybody sees only one side of this. These NIL recruits are paid because they perform on the field. The people paying them expect results.

What if the player does not play?
What if the player goes into the transfer portal because of it?

That money dries up quicker than water on hot asphalt
