i forgot about 08, seems like bama fans will never forget it.
i do remember bowden calling saban after that game for advice. I knew that was the beginning of the ened for bowden. he reached out to the Dark SIth Lord of Football for advice.

Clemson has played in 35 bowls. Alabama has won 35 bowls. If you are switching the argument to all time now, by all means, open the discussion.
If you'd like to discuss BCS appearances since 1995, Alabama has Clemson beat there as well. If you'd like to narrow BCS appearances from 1995-2007, they still come out on top. And those are the dark years.
So I guess, if you want to be realistic, Alabama's "embarrassing time" is about the same as Clemson's "successful time", in modern football history.

yeah but given you are 4th most sanctioned program in football history, we got to kind of scoff at any bama fan who touts their program history. LOL you the champs of cheating, alright. not much else. LOL
