Saban is correct he had nothing to do with the 10 second rule. It was not his suggestion whatsoever. In fact he never even thought of it. Most certainly he went to the committee to speak about the whole issue, etc. But the 10 second rule was thought of by the committee after he left. He certainly thinks and still does think something needs to be done, but the 10 second rule was not his idea at all. He is not lying nor is he back tracking. He continues to say what he has all along, that the officials should control the pace of play period.
