Way to teach kids good sportsmanship..

An LSU fan talking about teaching kids good sportsmanship....something ironic about this, considering I've had more 10-12 year old kids "Tigah Bait" me, give me the bird, etc...

"Tigerbait" and "gatorbait" are two of the gheyest things I've ever heard. Come to think of it, a lot of the cfb sayings and chants are pretty rainbow, too.

Although "gatorbait" sounds kind of similar to "motorboat", and I fricking love motorboatin'.

I respect Joe Pa, but I hate Penn state. I won't change anything I do on a normal game day, and yes, I will sing Rammer Jammer

fricking right. I respect Joe Pa as seeing him is like looking back at history and he and Bear had a cool rivalry going on. But let's be honest, he's holding that program back and the last few years he has only stayed on for selfish reasons. People who want to see him canonized need to check their heads.

Makes me sick the way some of our fans are trying to make this out be any thing more than a football game. They know what these people think of them and they are trying to overcompensate to impress some yankees. frick that.

There's some history behind it, yeah. But I tend to agree with you. Those guys want to beat Alabama. That's their primary focus. They're not going to grant us first downs out of kindness or spot us a few points here and there. It's a competition.

Paterno is a great coach. Outside of that, I don't really much care. In the same way, I have a lot of respect for Tim Tebow, but during the SECCG, he was just another opponent.

That doesn't mean that I'd boo Paterno State when they run onto the field, but I'm not gonna hold back celebrating a win out of "kindness" either. If you don't play to win, you're wasting time.

Based on the comments on BOL, there are plenty of dirt road Bama fans that are going to show Paterno zero respect.

There won't be many dirt road BAMA fans at this game. This will be the grey haired quiet crowd that sits on their hands.

This uptown new orleans city slicker, would probably rather kick it at a game with the "dirt road red necks" then you losers who are trying to make this game more than it is. This isn't a cocktail party, it's not a mardi gras ball... there really isn't anything "classy" about it. You do realize what these people from Penn State think of you right? They think they are mentally superior in every way because you are from Alabama and they are from the north.

This wreaks of people who don't have any idea what class is over compensating. Feel free to buy these ****s drinks, and shower them in compliments, but they aren't coming to Tuscaloosa to get classy with you. They are coming to ruiin our season. Joe Paterno is coming to ruin our season. That team from the loser Big 10 is coming to ruin our season. I for one am not going to do anything I don't do any other gameday. I want our boys to be fired up and frick their team up. That's not going to happen if all our fans are cupping their balls and cheering for the other coach. You really give a shite what these yankee fricks think about you? They already don't like you and look down on you.

I for one can't wait to scream "WE JUST BEAT THE HELL OUTTA YOU!" and I don't care who their coach is or where they're from. Get fired up for our boys. Not to see some old man who should have known when to hang it up years ago.

To this I reply: "Treat everyone with politeness and respect, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are"...

UPT Thanks for the proper perspective.

First of all if you are offended by getting booed when your team takes the field in an opposing teams stadium your a pussy. Booing at that moment is more like saying "we see you and are letting you know your in our house" not "I hate you and everything you stand for". In my opinion it's not coming off as dissrespectfull it's part of the game. This should be discussed in one of those "further pussification of America" threads on the OT.

I love JoePa and hope he keeps going strong. PennSt. however will always bring out memories of the screw job in 1983. A home team that had a family member of a former player on the referee crew, even after Perkins protested the officiating assignment the week before the game. PennSt. knew they had an official without objectivity but said to bad for you BAMA. To me that's more direspectful to the game than booing.

He's won the 5th most games amongst BCS teams over the last 5 seasons, including 2 conference championships.

I sure can't wait to see what he's been holding us back from!
