Well, see, that's where you're horribly, fatally wrong, my misguided friend.

They didn't deserve the chance to prove it.

Based upon the circumstances of that year, they did.

Nobody else gets that chance.

Well, they did. Tough titty.

Miss. State wouldn't have gotten it. Ole Miss wouldn't have, either.

We're not discussing lesser teams here. Only the team that apparently y'all were scared shitless of facing in your own backyard for all the marbles.

Literally has nothing to do with fricking anything we are talking about.

Apparently nothing does, that throws a kink in your argument.

How am I wrong?

Because they beat one quality team?

Because they lost to us at home?

bullshite.

They shouldn't have.

Just plain childish.

OKST having a better resume is not semantics.

Bama losing their division/conference is not semantics.

Re-read the thread if you really want the answer to that question. But you don't, so nevermind.

Oh, but they should have.

My analogy was cogent to the discussion. The rest of us have obliged you for hours debating the topic of your choosing, actually.

Oklahoma State had "a better resume" because computers are stupid and have no idea how horrible the Big 12 is. Oklahoma State played no more quality teams than either LSU or Alabama and lost to one AWFUL team.

Actually, that's the definition of semantics as it pertains to the subject at hand

I don't think you know what "semantics," means.

I read the thread the first time.

It's full of bullshite .gifs, silly quips that have been repeated a thousand times, and you, the Aggie/Spurs/Django fan trying to convince me that a runner-up in a 6 team division is worthy of being called champion because they won a rematch game.

So yeah, frick that.

Okay, so who would win if 2011 Okie State played 2011 LSU?

I will answer since I am expecting a ton of honesty here: nobody knows.

We knew what would happen if 2011 LSU played 2011 Alabama. We saw it on November 5th. That should have been it.

They didn't deserve to get another chance to redeem themselves after losing at fricking home.

What difference does this make? I thought we arguing why Alabama should not have been in the game and apparently Oklahoma State should have?
