No. That’s already been accomplished by an awful public relations campaign by the athletic department at every turn in this entire process.

The University made a calculated decision that their refusal to uphold discipline and decency, and the blowback that would come with that, would be worth some wins in basketball. I’m sure they didn’t ask Saban, who has tied is legacy and career to the University, if that was ok by him.

The University doesn’t have ground to stand on. You can’t crawl into a toilet bowl then expect not to be shite on.

have you ever heard him speak? he never talks about titles/winning. he talks constantly about daily decisions and gradual improvement and the process.

The excuse offered for Bama's star basketball player is shot down by Saban as no excuse for his own player.

Coincidence? I'm not that naive. Was it what Clay Travis said it was, "a shot because the basketball team is stealing the football team's glory"? I doubt that. But

Oates: Brandon was in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

Saban: There is no such thing as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's about the choices you make that put you there.

I mean if I'm gonna believe one had nothing to do with the other, try selling me a beach condo in Springfield, MO.

I don’t think that’s it.

I think Saban is just taking the high ground for appearance purposes.

It wasn't just a shot at Oats.. It was a shot at the entire University, the BOT , the President and Brandon Miller.

He’s not bigger than the university but he’s bigger than anyone currently at the university. He didn’t trash the university he trashed the scumbags who work for the university. I don’t see how anyone can be upset with Saban here. He’s allowed to speak his mind just as Nate Oats and the administration are allowed to let Brandon Miller play.

Like what? "I ain't the basketball coach."

He is upset that the basketball team out did the football team in thuggery. All a football player did was to assault a girl after a game. The basketball team raised the bar by running the gun used to murder someone and actually killing a women.

That sports fans is some serious thuggery.

Saban will retire soon because he no longer has the monopoly on paying players and Oats will leave for a basketball blue blood school. Gumps fricked either way

Truth be known Saban said that to protect his program and recruiting. Don't think for a second playing a kid involved directly or indirectly in the murder of a female won't be used in recruiting.

Saban trying to look like the good guy here when in fact he's caused and allowed and taken up for unbelievable shite for years....Like having a player smack a female on the field after the UT game and then making excuses for his player doing it....Hell, Oats learned from Saban and Oats knows that they don't do anything to Saban so they can't do anything to me... Things are coming home to roost now.
