To me that says something....I would imagine that says something to recruits to don't you think?

Only 12 made it to draft eligibility this year? Wonder what that means to the other 54 players Saban signed in that class?

UT has never been anywhere close to Florida for any significant length of time since expansion in 1992. I can run the numbers if you like, but they aren't even in the same universe. Florida has dominated the SEC East from the moment it was created. By leaps and bounds. The whole argument that Florida=Tennessee=Georgia over time is just complete and utter horse shite.

How many times has Saban won a National Title at Bama when UT had a winning record? 0

How many times has LSU won a SEC (in the BCS era) or BCS title when UF had a winning record? 4

UF had a winning record in '03 and we played UGA in the regular season, the eventual SEC East Champ. In '07 LSU won a NC with a very good UF on the schedule. The best East team Bama has defeated in the regular season on the way to a BCS title was a 7-5 USC; LSU played 2 better teams in each '07 and '03.

Let's look at both eastern opponents outside of the SEC Title game and what those record were at year end:

Bama '12-Missouri 5-7, UT 5-7 (combined 3 SEC wins; 1 between each other)
Bama '11-UF (7-6), UT (5-7), & Vandy (6-7) (combined 6 SEC wins; three between each other)
Bama '09-UT (7-6), USC (7-5), UK (2-10) (7 combined SEC wins; 3 between each other)

LSU '11-UF (7-6), UT (5-7), & UK (5-7) (combined 6 SEC wins; 3 between each other)
LSU '07-UF (9-4), USC(6-6), & UK (8-5) (combined 11 SEC wins; 3 between each other)
LSU '03-USC (5-7), UF (8-5), & UGA (11-3) (14 combined SEC wins; 3 between each other)

Statistically it is clear; Bama's success in the BCS era owes much of its success to playing weak teams from the East in the regular season. LSU and UF have won two BCS title each playing rigorous cross-over opponents. I'll respect Bama's accomplishments more when they play a challenging East schedule. It is tough for me to respect what they've done considering 1. they won a BCS title was without winning the SEC and 2. as noted above, their strength of schedule from the east is putrid.

ETA: I don't want to take away that when Bama has to go to the SEC title game, they've won it in the years above and when they've gotten to the BCS title game they've won it. And that i spart of the journey. But LSU and UF have done that on top of play rigorous cross-divisional opponents in addition to winning within their own divisions.

No, that's when we started mandatory division scheduling and inter-divisional rotations, keeping track of division standings and holding a championship game. UF has outperformed Tennessee overall since WAY before 1992, but it's just been since then that it's become such an advantage for Alabama due to divisional standings and races.

So we should stop playing one of our biggest and most heated rivals because LSU don't think it's fair they have to play Florida.

Noted.

No. I'm just saying compared to Bama's "run" of 3 NCs in 4 years (or 2 SEC titles in 4 years), it is tough to respect it as a true accomplishment because statistically, it isn't as impressive as what either LSU or UF has done.

I don't care who we have played. Winning 3/4 is more impressive than anything your football team has ever accomplished
