Bama coach Nick Saban says Jalen Hurts' words haven't affected team

quote:

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama coach Nick Saban downplayed the impact of comments from quarterback Jalen Hurts over the weekend, when he expressed frustration over the way coaches have handled his status this offseason.

quote:

"Every player has a right to express what he feels and what he thinks, and I think he has every right to do that with every coach or anybody in the organization who he has relationships with, which we certainly do quite often with all players at all positions," Saban said, adding that "this is probably a lot more important to people outside this organization than it is to people inside. I don't think it has any effect on our team." Hurts, who spoke to the media on Saturday for the first time since being benched during the national championship game in January, expressed frustration with the rumors about his future and how there were "people making decisions for me."

Can New England not claim Tom Brady since he finished his career at Tampa Bay? Hurts started at both schools, he won awards at both schools, he won conference championships at both schools, and made the play-offs at both schools…in addition to getting degrees at both schools…both schools can claim

He was drafted as an Oklahoma QB. Its pretty pathetic that Bama fans sweat his sack because he turned out to be good in the PROS.

And they hadn't. Jalen did his job and when his number was called be delivered 15 minutes of glory against Georgia to win a conference title.

Nah. We sweat his sack because he came in for an injured Tua Tagovailoa when we were down in the fourth quarter against Georgia and led the offense on two touchdown drives that ended up sealing the win and the 2018 SEC title for our beloved program. This after riding the bench and biding his time behind a much more talented passer. Saban was in tears while giving the post-game interview to the sideline reporter because he was so proud. And we were all right there with him in that moment.

Was that his biggest regret?

Let me explain it to you, idiot boy. Jalen lost his starting job after the 2017 NC year. He came back and got better and played a ton of football his Junior year behind Tua. He was Maryland-bound his Senior year until he talked Jalen into Oklahoma.

Remember, the art of getting under someone's skin is to get the facts right, in the first place, and go from there.

A ton? He had like 70 pass attempts.

His biggest regret has to be only allowing a future SB winning QB 5 pass attempts a game the year he forced him to transfer

Tua was often pulled in many games after the half, the score was so lopsided. LSU was the first game that Tua was still in the game at the START of the 4th quarter. Game 9 in 2018. It cost Tua the Heisman and yeah, that was a dam shame, but Jalen was a huge part of that team including coming in for an injured Tua in the SECCG and QBed an epic comeback after being down 28-14 against Georgia for the SEC Championship.

People always say this kind of thing.

I bet that didn't happen even 5 times that year.
