Here is why the committee may go with Bama: last year OSU got in yet the team that won their conf and beat OSU did not get in. Turns out the committee was horribly wrong, as OSU laid an egg and embarrased itself and the committee. Bama didn't get a chance to play UGA this year. I think last year was even more of a stretch than what this would be if they put in Bama.
If OSU is in this discussion and has two horrible losses, in a weak conference and Bama has no bad losses in a stronger conference, yet doesn't have as many high quality wins, then I think Bama probably deserves it more.
