He is when he plays lsu. Check his stats out.

There's somewhat of a tier system of returning SEC RBs.
Tier I
Todd Gurley
Tier II
Alex Collins
Mike Davis
TJ Yeldon
Tier III
Kenyan Drake
Derrick Henry (assuming he'll get as many carries as Bama fans claim he will)
Jerron Seymour
Jonathan Williams
Tier IV
Russell Hansbrough
Marlin Lane
Terrance Magee
I'Tavius Mathers
Kelvin Taylor
Predicting where LF5 will be at the end of the season, while fun, is useless because we don't know how many carries he will get.

Dude's gone for 1108 and 1235, respectively, in his two seasons in Tuscaloosa while running at a 6.0 and 6.3 YPC clip, respectively as well. He's also added 27 total TDs in two seasons.
He also has had productive games in Alabama's biggest games of the past two years.
TJ Yeldon 100-yard games
2012 - v. #24 Michigan - 111 yards, 1 TD
2012 - at #14 LSU - 76 rushing yards, 28 receiving yards, 1 TD
2012 - v. #5 Georgia - 153 yards, 1 TD
2012 - v. #4 Notre Dame - 108 yards, 1 TD
2013 - at #18 Texas A&M - 149 yards, 1 TD
2013 - v. Ole Miss - 121 yards, 1 TD
2013 - v. #14 LSU - 133 yards, 2 TD
2013 - at Mississippi State - 160 yards
2013 - at #2 Auburn - 141 yards, 1 TD

We have a nice running back group. Not Alabama's level but it's far from the worst in the SEC. They'll give teams a really hard time this season.
Braylon Heard- 5'11 189 lb transfer out of Nebraska. #2 RB in the country coming out of high school.
JoJo Kemp- 5'10 192 lb Sophomore. Our best RB last season as a true freshman with 100 carries for 482 yards and three TD's.
Josh Clemons- 5'10 223 lb Junior running back. Talented as frick but can't seem to stay healthy. Hopefully this is his season.

I think the reason T.J. doesn't get more respect is because of his effeminate running style and his propensity to fumble. He runs upright and he tippy-toes and his legs flail out like a girl.
Todd Gurley is much more talented than T.J. and I don't think it's close.
Todd Gurley has a running style that is very "manly".
T.J. Yeldon has a running style that is very "girly".
For now on we should refer to these two running backs as Todd "manly" Gurley and T.J. "girly" Yeldon.

I think Marcus Murphy and Hansbrough combine for almost 2000 yards this year, very excited.

The awesome thing about this thread is the noticeable lack of inclusion of any Auburn RB's, yet we will again lead the SEC in rushing yards

coming in, you guys dont have a RB on your roster that compares to the elites of the bama's, uga's and lsu's of the world. I think Payne could be there by years end though.

Gus Malzahn's fumble rooskie, triple option, hook n ladder, statue of liberty, annexation of puerto rico gimmick based offense worked well for one season but has no chance to prosper against the good defenses in the SEC.

I agree. Only future possible pro caliber RB on our roster will be Roc Thomas, but our rushing attack will be second to none.

He's a good back for sure, but you guys aren't exactly hurting in that department.
