Has that ever happened before? I saw 2014's post with the link, but I can't recall of a Regional that had that rule enacted.

No idea, there probably isn't an official scoring system, but I don't see how we would not be the team the committee would pick. I still think we'll absolutely get this game in by Wednesday so it won't matter...but for "what if"
- We were higher ranked in all polls than UNCW.
- We had a higher RPI
- We had a higher SOS
- We beat them 10-1 headsup already this weekend.
I hope it doesn't come down to a Committee picking who moves on, but I don't think it will either.

Regional. If inclement weather limits play, every effort has been made to complete competition by Tuesday and competition cannot be completed by Tuesday , the team that will advance to the finals will be based on the following:
0 games played Highest seed
1 games played Highest seed
2 games played Highest undefeated seed
3 games played Highest undefeated seed
4 games played Highest seed
5 games played Highest undefeated seed
6 games played Winner of game 6 unless each team has one loss, therefore the teams are tied, then:
1) Head-to-head competition.
2) Highest remaining seed.

Well there it is, great research on this

No it's never happened. It almost did in a super regional a couple years ago but they ended up playing it.
