You've got to be kidding me. If Julio and Ingram went on a booster paid vacation, I think I may hate them both forever.
Not so much the "if", they just got caught this time.

Lucky--I am not a Bama fan, but, depending on what really happened, this really makes me think that the NCAA rules need a serious overhaul. If the players went on a fishing trip paid for by a Bama booster, I could see the NCAA's problem. But, if they went on a fishing trip with some HS friends, and went on the friends dads boat, I really don't see the issue. This is especially true since none of the others were apparently connected to the Bama program.

I just don't see where the NCAA gets to overreach into the student athletes lives to control where they go, who they see and what they do during the summer (as long as they don't participate in anything illegal or get "jobs" or other benefits from the school itself during the break.)

I am not saying this is really related to the Bama; however, I did not think that the Bush stuff had anything to do with USC. I thought it was just an agent trying to lock him u before he went pro.

God you are one stupid frick. Even if Julio and Mark went on a "free" fishing trip on a friend's dad's boat, it's against the rules.

No, actually I would type random letters if it kept you and the other Gumps twisting a bit longer....

Had they only gone as "deckhands" then they could have been paid, legitimately...and all would be fine.

It was a fishing trip, the guy can charge whatever he wants. I'm guessing the minimal charge would be for gas, which I'm guessing is what they probably paid.

It was a cruise and a fishing charter. They were not just on a boat ride with some guy.

Let's assume that it was a cruise/fishing trip with friends, and one of the dads sprang for the trip. If the person paying for the trip is not a 'Bama booster', then I don't see what's the big deal. Why should the NCAA be so anal as to go after something like this? And citing Bama's recent probation as justification is bullshite. Regular college kids down here go off on trips like this with their friends all of the time...without having to dish out any of their own money.

Heck, Timmy Tebow frickin' played golf with Phil Mickelson a few weeks ago. I'm sure that Timmy would've had the same opportunity if his name was Waldo Nussbaum and he was a Business Ad major, right? Where's the NCAA's red flags about that???

The NCAA is just a frustrating topic for me...

I don't disagree.

You are way down on the list of people to get a shot at Cadello. You got to get in line.
