I don't know which is more laughable from the OP, playing the championship in a dump like the Citrus Bowl or playing it in Texas. The SEC...in Texas? Nashville would suck too because it'd be so damn cold.

So is this thread the official start of the offseason or do we have to wait for the first "Its not fair that LSU has FL as a permanent cross-division opponent" thread?
LOL...I actually like that UF is our permanent cross-division rival. It's a great rivalry.

Damn, how slow are you driving man?

It takes me a little under two hours to get to Atlanta.

So Dallas isn't a great airport hub?
Why the hell would they have an SEC champ game in a state that has never had an SEC team? Nobody in Dallas gives a crap about SEC football.
Hell, I would rather play the game in the small, old rundown stadiums in Birmingham (Legion Field) and Jackson, MS (War Memorial) than play it at Jerry World in Dallas in front of all those goobers.
Jeez, if you can't afford a $180 Airtran ticket or can't be bothered with the hassle, why would anyone care what you think?

So is Charlotte. Let's include Charlotte in the rotation to. Uh-oh, wait, Charlotte is outside of the SEC states...
Dallas is virtually in the southeast, so is Charlotte. These two cities should get some consideration.

Dallas is Big 12 country. Charlotte is ACC country. Why would you move it to a state that you don't even have a team in?

I said Birmingham to Atlanta, not Auburn to Atlanta.
Why did we get rid of eugenic sterilization again?

Rotation should be as follows:
1. Dallas - Best Stadium in the States. This will attract all those Big 12/10 fans that think they know football. Big City with plenty to do and plenty of accessibility. Maybe we could get rid of Arkansas and pick up the Aggies. Superbowl Venue
2. New Orleans - Need explaining? Superbowl Venue (with brand new and amazing renovations beginning this week)
3. Miami - South Beach is amazing. No explanation needed. Superbowl Venue
4. Atlanta - This dump works every few years
5. Nashville - Wouldn't snow be interesting for once in a life? (If it even happened) As said previously, the beginning of December has perfect football weather, so please stop complaining about the weater. Aren't we playing football... it's supposed to be outside.
Home team is always #1 Seed in SEC no matter where your at. Luck of the draw. Dallas would be one of the best venues IMO. Texan Pete I agree with most you say.

I don't care what stadium you play in, as long as it has at least 70,000. I just like Orlando. But if venue is that important, replace it with Tampa or Jacksonville.
I'm not saying JerryWorld should be the permanent site, just once every five years, it would be played there.

I love it in Atlanta because it's like 15-20 min from my house. However, if you are going to rotate the only considerations should be the SuperDome and maybe the Citrus Bowl. Having it in Texas is the worst idea ever.

Ok, proves my point even more. That's pretty much in your backyard isn't it?

Why is it the worst idea ever? Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, ... need I continue? This would draw in recruits from further west to the SEC in more busloads. Texas is a huge football state.. it's unfortunate it's not in the SEC already.

Why would you rotate two areas that are way outside of the SEC in Dallas and Miami? Why would you go to New Orleans when the SEC sends a team to the Sugar Bowl every year? I like Nashville but not enough to risk losing Atlanta to the ACC.
Why does a rotation even matter. How many teams other than Florida go to the SECCG more than once every 5 years. As it stands now most of the SEC won't see Atlanta more than once in the next five years. We don't need to rotate the venue because we're always rotating the teams.
That being said Dallas is terrible for the SEC East. Miami is terrible for the SEC West. Birmingham is about as close as possible to central but the stadium is such a giant dump it isnt worth it. New Orleans at least makes sense but you already have the Sugar Bowl a few weeks later. Moving outside of Atlanta really makes no sense.

Yes... the southeast. The SEC championship is in the southeast. It does make some sense.

If the SEC picked up the Aggies, then it would make some sense. Right now the SEC is not relevant in Texas. It is Big 12 country except a little bit of LSU love in Houston.
